For this workshop Alessandro will take us through all the tomatoes that arrive each week from Italy, each with their own distinct taste, texture & use – from the crisp, appley Camone to the Cherry Vine & Sweet Datterini to the Big Beefsteak like Cuore Di Bue, plum-shaped Gencara, ribbed Costoluto & Merinda, colourful Mixed Heirloom, little plum Piccadilly, distinct stripes of the Tiger, Fondanello & Torpedino & of course, the perfect Roasting Tomato: San Marzano.
He will demonstrate a variety of dishes explaining which tomatoes we use for sauces, salads, roasting, baking, stuffing & any other ways of cooking them he can think of!
