Explore the flavours and traditions of Spain through its cheese.

Ever since Ferran Adria burst onto the restaurant scene with his extraordinary techniques and surprise elements to his menu, Spain has been in the forefront of exciting ideas in food. However, the cheeses of Spain are just as interesting and dig deep into the terroir. Just as the food element has changed and become so creative, the cheeses have come out of their dark days of government run farming to blossom into independent dairies introducing both new and traditional cheeses giving a real stamp of identity.

We will explore Spain’s unique cheese making cultures from Andalucía to the Asturias including the Canary Islands and Menorca, and how the country’s varying terrain and tumultuous history results in perhaps some of the greatest cheeses in Europe!
