Join us for an evening of Cheese & Beer Pairings Cheese co-hosted by Kernel Brewery founder & Head Brewer, Evin O'Riordain alongside La Fromagerie Senior Cheesemonger, Patrick.
Evin will choose 5 different styles of Kernel Beers including ales, fruit & stout paired alongside LA FROMAGERIE Cheese. Our cheeseroom, currently houses about 200 cheeses - so don’t expect a beer with a slice of cheddar, we hope to focus on some more interesting pairings. We will also be showcasing Charcuterie from Crown & Queue, Scotch Eggs from Happy Belly & from our kitchen there will be a classic Rarebit made with Kernel Beer.
This convivial evening will give guests an insight into British beer making at its best with one of Britain’s most talented & award winning brewers.
Evin O'Riordain is the founder & head brewer of The Kernel, one of Britain’s most respected small breweries. Previously a cheesemonger, his passion for beer was awakened after a trip to New York where he discovered the hop forward styles of America beer. Upon returning to London he set up The Kernel Brewery in Bermondsey in September 2009, being one of the first brewers to bring new, bold American brewing to London & helping start a burgeoning microbrewery scene in the UK.
