LA FROMAGERIE LONDON: KITCHEN POSITION
Jnr SOUS CHEF
At La Fromagerie we cook simple, traditional, regional dishes from around Europe showcasing produce sourced directly by us, from small farms & producers.
We are currently searching for a Jnr SOUS CHEF looking for a challenge. You will be working under our Head Chef overseeing two kitchens that create lines for sale in our shops along with daily changing seasonal kitchen menus. It’s all about fantastic produce – the shop is your larder. If you are passionate about working in a quality, renowned food environment, you will be a good & fair team player who motivates and develops your team with a can do - hands on approach.
An understanding of European regional cuisine & produce is essential. Ideally you will have a broad set of cooking skills as we make our own terrines, cured meats, pies, cakes, biscuits, chutneys, pickles & jams along with all the regional dishes for our menus. You need to be well organised and calm under pressure during service.
About the role:
Straight & Split shifts including weekends & evenings.
50 hours per week
2 days off in week
It is a very hands-on job, that will suit a Jnr Sous looking to join a company that continues to expand and develop new projects and ideas through our Cafés, Shops & Tasting Events
Training in house in the kitchen, shop & Cheeseroom.
Service charge paid to all the staff, including the kitchen.
