VISCIOLATA CHERRY WINE 2010

LE MARCHE, ITALY

A delicious yet intense sweetly savoury taste with echoes of cocoa and clove spices. Made with sour cherries which grow wild throughout Le Marche. The base wine is Sauvignon and the cherries are placed in glass jars, covered with sugar, then steeped for two months. They are then pressed to extract the juice which is added to the wine and left to mature for another twelve months.
