From the Valtellina, made with Nebbiolo grapes (locally known as Chiavennasca). Sandro Fay is a modern stylist for the Valtellina wine production. Very much out on his own and his wines stand out as their flavours have an elegant, full body ripeness and a refined "nose". The Sondrio province is now a skiing area of Lombardy and the cool terroir produces this Barolo style wine with a lighter easier drinking quality. A very attractive accompaniment to cheeses
