We are delighted to be joined by chef and food writer Jennifer McLagan for a very special one off supper event, as we celebrate her new book fat.
Recently awarded the James Beard Award for Single Subject Cookbook and Cookbook of the Year - beating Heston Blumenthal!
This book is beautifully photographed and is both inspiring and thoughtfully written; it explores diets and cultures and puts our relationship with animal fats into a healthy perspective, looking at how fat is fundamental to the flavour of our food, and in many ways an essential part of a healthy balanced diet.
We invite you to join us at La Fromagerie as we explore, celebrate, cook and enjoy this essential ingredient at its very best.

About Jennifer McLagan: Jennifer, a native Australian, lives in Toronto with her sculptor husband, Haralds Gaikis. She is a regular contributor to Fine Cooking and Food & Drink

For this evening Jennifer will be talking about her book along with a recipe demonstration as we explore this fascinating subject. Guests will start the evening with Prosecco and various canapés followed by a delicious menu featuring recipes from Jennifer's book: Poached Shrimp with Beurre Blanc & Spinach (page 40), followed by a slow roast Pork Belly with Fennel & Rosemary (page 84-85) with buttery pureed Potatoes (page 43) and Summer vegetables
Guests will then enjoy a perfect summery dessert of Peach Cobbler (page 213) with Fiori di latte icecream. Supper will finish with Le Piantagioni Coffee & Milly la Foret Herb tea with various biscuits & cookies
