TERROIR & TASTE: BRITAIN, HAuT-JURA & MIDI-PYRÉNÉES

Join us at the Highbury N5 shop for a tasting journey. Tutored by head cheesemonger Ed Billins, we will start by looking at a new wave of British cheese that breaks with tradition, pairing with beers from The Kernel Brewery – one of the first of a new generation of craft breweries in London.

We then move to the Haut-Jura, tasting classic high mountain cheese, including a very special Comté Grand Reserve. To finish we move to the south west of France and the lesser known mountain cheeses from the Pyrénées. Served with local charcuterie from the Pyrénées & Aquitaine, this promises to be an enlightening tasting with something to suit every palate.

We will finish with a lovely Frangipane Tart and Le Piantagioni Coffee or tea.
