Join us for a fabulous Spring Supper Menu of Modern Nordic Cooking with award winning Danish Chef Trina Hahnemann.
Supper will feature recipes from both of Trina's books the Scandinavian Cookbook and The Nordic Diet.
Over a glass of Prosecco guests will enjoy moreish mini beetroot burgers & salmon fishcakes, Scandinavian crisp bread from Peters Yard
with smoked salmon & lumpfish with crème fraiche as Trina demonstrates some new recipes specially developed for this evening as she talks about the healthy attributes of modern Nordic food and just how delicious healthy food can be. Guests will also be treated to a special tasting of hot smoked Elk on swedish crisp breads from Malmo, also champions of the Nordic diet way.
Trine has devised a fabulous spring menu for this event beginning with a selection of spring salads: Smoked Mackerel & Spring Onion, spring spelt pasta salad with ground-elder pesto & with barley salad served with a crisp white wine from Lake Garda
For main course we will be serving roast spring lamb with mint, apricot & celery with pointed cabbage salad, baked new season asparagus & spring cauliflower with almonds.
Supper will end on delicious spring note of rhubarb 'soup' with homemade yoghurt ice cream served with a glass of chilled Moscato d'Asti.
We are also hoping Trina will bring over some of the special Kransekage almond cakes dipped in bitter chocolate to enjoy over coffee.
