Vinified by Philip Bergqvist, this vintage was the first of the organic production, trodden by foot in the smallest granite ‘baths’ and matured in the large Tonel 8 casks for two years before bottling. The fruit was very concentrated resulting in a powerful Vintage port with deep berry flavours. Yields from Vale do Inferno are low with only 5,500 bottles available. Enjoy with full bodied cheeses such as Stilton, Aged Gruyere or a beautifully ripened Serra d’Estrela.
