Everyone gets very excited at the prospect of two long bank holiday weekends in May. With that in mind, we have curated a lovely board for you to enjoy over the long leisurely weekends with family and friends:

CHEESE

  • Sariette de Banon | Provence, Thermised Goat's Milk. 1 unit. 'Cigarillos’ of small, fresh log-shaped cheeses on a flat wooden base. Topped with a sprig of fresh Sariette (Summer Savoury), the cheese can be eaten rindless and fresh or slightly matured.
  • Pelardon | Cevennes,  Unpasteurised Goat's Milk - 1 unit. A thick, medallion-shaped soft cheese with a natural white rind that, with maturing, becomes dotted with blue moulds. A traditional farmhouse cheese with gentle goaty, nutty tastes and a fudgy texture.
  • Ticklemore | Totnes, Devon, Unpasteurised Goat Milk (200g) -  The flaky pate has tiny eyelet holes scattered throughout and the taste is fresh, light and gentle, with a predominant undertone of almonds pervading.
  • St James | Cumbria. Unpasteurised Ewe's Milk (200g). The Lacaune ewe’s milk provides the depth of flavours & richness to this very seasonal cheese. By brine washing the rind it gives the taste a real boost of savoury, herbaceous, tangy flavours.
  • Gorgonzola Naturale | Lombardy, Pasteurised Cow's Milk (200g) - Two layered traditional curd, using both the morning & evening milk which is ladled in layers into the cheese mould. The taste is rich, fruity & sappy with earthy aromas.
