This menu was based on a trip Patricia and Sarah took to Paris in March 2008. A special tasting menu was devised - all inspired by our trip and the restaurants we visited.

Oeuf en Cocotte with Crème de Fleurette & Black Truffle
Wine: Gros Manseng Gascony, SW France
Petit Manseng grape. Alain Brumont’s light and gentle wine in the simple style with fragrant zesty structure, and perfect as an aperitif or as an easy drinking lunchtime tipple.
Second Course: Le Chateaubriand
Duck broth with Root Vegetables & poached Foie Gras
Main Course: Le Soleil
Cotes de Boeuf with Duck ‘Pommes Frites’ & Spinach
Wine: Chateau Beaulieu Marmande, Lot et Garonne, nr Bordeaux
A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and a local grape variety Abouriou – Robert Schulte’s dry classy wine, perfect with cheddar style cheeses, Stilton, and of course rare roast beef or other robust main courses.
