Piedmont: A Cheese & Wine Tasting

Following the Cheese festival in Bra, Piedmont, Patricia will be hosting an Northern Italian cheese and wine tasting. The evening will begin with a glass of prosecco with canapés followed by a tutored tasting, Patricia will be talking about her Piedmont trip and the cheese makers as guests enjoy a simple plate of pasta with truffle cheese from piedmont followed by a selection of the very best cheeses from the northern regions in Italy paired with some fabulous wines from wine makers such a Robert Sarotto, in Piedmont and the Fraccaroli family in the south of Lake Garda.

The tasting will finish on a sweet note with a Piedmont style chocolate and hazelnut tart paired with Brachetto from Roberto Sarotto, a delicate sweet wine with a slight frizzante and a nose that is reminiscent of old roses.

This promises to be a fabulous tasting as we enter autumn and embrace the change of season with full bodied wines and the heady aromas of truffles and richer fuller flavours of the cheeses.
