 A tutored Wine Tasting & Tuscan tasting Dinner
We are delighted to be joined by Pierpaolo Lorieri, one of Northern Tuscany's most talented wine makers. Producing wine for over 150 years, Podere Scurtarola is located in theCandia Hills between the Mediterranean sea and the Apuan Alps Massa in northern tuscany.
Loyalty to tradition and respect to nature: these are the principles on which their vineyard is based. Situation on 6 hectares, the vines are planted on specially cultivated terraces held by walls covered in pine wood, heather, junipers and myrtle in a microclimate favored by the sea and the brilliant midday sun shining on the vineyards.

This is a very special one off tasting where Pierpaolo along with his sommelier will conduct a tutored wine tasting with a flight of ten vintages of Vermentino Nero wines.
The dinner will start with Vermentino Bianco from the Apuana Hills in Vermentino, Tuscany paired with local specialities such as hot lardo toasts, local charcuterie, tuscan pecorino's and various tuscan style crostini
Following the tutored wine tasting (please note this will be a seated tasting) guests will enjoy more classic Tuscan fare: roast rib of beef with a Lorieri red wine sauce with rosemary roasted potatoes, spinach and stuffed courgette flowers; ending on a decadent note with Pierpaolo's homemade 'Pandivino' made with his 'Luci del Tramonto' wine, served with baked Italian apricots and farm house mascarpone from Lombardy, served with a glass of chilled L'Appassito
