July: All New at La Fromagerie
La Fromagerie, Marylebone: We closed for a few days at the beginning of July for an albeit rather late, Spring clean, along with a slight revamp to give more room for you to browse our shelves.
We have incorporated an area for all our baked goods which show cases all our homemade cakes, breads and biscuits; one of the fridges, situated near to the main till area, has lots more delicious things 'to go' giving you lots of ideas for the perfect quick summer supper.
Choose from various stews and soups, cold roast meats, terrines & patés along with hand made pasta, including tagliatelle and tortellini filled with summer pumpkin and pecorino or Ryefield goat cheese with pea and mint, spinach, ricotta and parmesan. You can then pair them with one of our homemade sauces; slow roast vine tomatoes with basil, a Tuscan sausage ragu or a four cheese sauce made with Asiago, Fontini, Grana Padana and Gorgonzola Dolce Cremificato
Of course we always have our famous homemade pesto made with 5 different pecorinos. However for the purists amongst you drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with Parmigiano Reggiano.
Summer barbecue essentials! Our kitchen have made bottles and bottles of homemade tomato ketchup with all the beautiful vine tomatoes - stock up now as that's it till next summer!
Lunch to Go!
For lunch we now offer freshly prepared Ciabatta 'sandwiches' made each morning by 11am you can choose from fillings such as farmhouse cheddar, maple roast ham and homemade piccalilli, or mozzarella di bufala with house pesto dressing and vine tomatoes, or Bayonne ham with Brie de Meaux and rocket, we will change the selection every day so do let us know if there is something you would like to order something in particular.
We also have a delicious lunch box comprising charcuterie & cornichons, cheese, Houmous, breads and a green salad with house vinaigrette - all for £8.50 - super healthy and super delicious. Breakfast at LA FROMAGERIE
We are launching our new breakfast menu this July. To complement our homemade baked beans on toast and boiled eggs & soldiers etc we are introducing the La Fromagerie 'Toastie': A toasted sandwich of Emmental Francais with either vine tomatoes or maple roasted ham. At the weekends we will be offering kippers, from Pinneys, a fabulous little smokery on the Suffolk coast, served with hot buttered Poilâne toast.
We offer a relaxed and convivial atmosphere away from the bustle of Marylebone High St, with wifi and extra plugs for lap tops etc. It is a gentle way to start you day with excellent coffee and farmhouse fare. You can see our new breakfast menu on our website: www.lafromagerie.co.uk
