WHEN DO WE HOLD PRIVATE EVENTS?

Tuesday to Thursday.

HOW DO YOU BOOK AN EVENT?

Our event diary gets quite booked up, so contact Sarah with your requested date. Once the date is agreed we ask that you send an email as initial confirmation. We will then send you a booking form, which needs to be completed in full in order to secure your booking.

HOW MUCH DOES AN EVENT COST?

All events incur minimum costs to LA FROMAGERIE – such as staff, duty managers & kitchen staff.

Our minimum charge for events is £660.00 – this equates to 12 guests @ £55.00 per person.

Seated Cheese & Wine Tastings start at £55.00 per person
Minimum number of guests: 12
Maximum number of guests: 45

Standing Cheese & Wine Tastings start at £40.00 per person
Minimum number of guests: 35
Maximum number of guests: 80

DO YOU CHARGE ROOM HIRE?

It is not charged as a separate amount, but it is incorporated into the event costing.

CAN YOU BRING YOUR OWN WINES?

We recommend that you choose from our list so that you can enjoy the full benefit of our expertise and tutoring. However, should you wish to bring your own, we charge a minimum corkage of £22.35 (the same cost as a bottle of our house wine Chateau Le Roc).

DO YOU HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT?

No, but we do require a credit card number in order to secure your booking.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL?

Because all events are bespoke, we arrange everything special for you. If you need to cancel or postpone your event until a later date it can be difficult for us to rebook the date on short notice.

Should you cancel less than seven days prior to the reservations 50% of the minimum expenditure of £660.00 will be charged to your card + any additional expenses incurred by LA FROMAGERIE on your behalf (that cannot be cancelled).

Should you cancel within 48 hours prior to your event you will be charged 100% of the minimum expenditure of £660.00 + any additional expenses incurred by LA FROMAGERIE on your behalf – such as glass hire or specially-sourced ingredients.

If you rebook the event at a later date 50% of the minimum expenditure (£330) will be refunded against the final bill. Please note that the event must be rebooked within 90 days of the original booking date.

HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHAT SORT OF EVENT YOU WANT TO HOLD?

We first discuss your requirements: are you celebrating with friends or entertaining clients? How many guests would you like to invite, and what is your budget? If possible we like to arrange a meeting here at LA FROMAGERIE to go through your requirements in further detail – we can discuss menu ideas, logistics, tables, plans, etc.

WHAT TIME WOULD YOUR EVENT START?

The shop is open until 7.30pm. We generally prefer not to close early as we have regular customers shopping for their supper after work and want to do our best to accommodate everyone.

Depending on the size of your party will determine the layout. When your guests arrive they will be offered an aperitif, they are welcome to peruse the shop.

We only start the seated part of your tasting after 7.30pm, when the shop is closed.

EVENT TIMINGS
Seated Cheese & Wine Tasting: 7.00pm–10.00pm
Standing Cheese & Wine Tasting: 7.00pm–10.30pm

Please note that no alcohol can be served after 10.30pm.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU WANT TO START YOUR EVENT EARLIER AND HAVE THE SHOP CLOSED?

You are welcome to come a little earlier for the aperitif part of the evening, but this may  reflect in your budget, as you may require additional bottles to cover a longer period of time prior to the main tasting at 7:30pm.

We can arrange early closure by special request, but only for parties with 40 or more guests, this will incur an additional cost.

From 6.00pm: 
£250.00 + VAT
From 6.30pm: £200.00 + VAT
From 7.00pm: £150.00 + VAT

ARE THERE ANY OTHER ADDITIONAL CHARGES?

Kindly note guests must depart no later than 10.45pm, we have residential flats situated above LA FROMAGERIE, we would ask that your guests leave the premises as quietly as possible. 

Each event is costed with a certain number of staff – this is dependent on the number of guests attending. If the finish time runs over, due to your guests arriving late or a last minute change to the running order an additional charge will be made to cover increased staffing costs.

12 - 20 guests: £25 per ¼ hour
21 - 40 guests: £40 per ¼ hour
41 - 80 guests: £50 per ¼ hour
