Blow away the winter cobwebs with our Easter Spring treats.
Delicious Easter fare is in the shop from Hot X Buns full of spices, currants & candied peel - enjoy toasted with lashings of creamy farmhouse butter.
Available to take away or enjoy in the Tasting Cafe. From our kitchen we will be making Pasqualine - a classic Italian puff pastry filled with Baby Spinach leaves & Ricotta with an egg baked in the centre, we will also have one with artichokes.
Exquisite chocolate Easter hens & fish in dark or milk chocolate from Bernard Dufoux in Burgundy. & especially for the children - Easter cup cakes & Easter Biscuits - chicks & Easter bunny buttery shortbread.
Finally we the most fabulous Colomba, traditional dove shaped cakes symbolizing peace & The Holy Spirit. Ours are made by the Italian artisan bakery, Dogliani in Italy. Wrapped in pastel coloured papers we have threee to choose from: Colomba Rocher finsied with blue ribbon, Colomba Cioccolatti Fondente finished with dark brown ribbon and Colomba Classica made with dried fruit and finished with pink ribbon and a pink floral canvas bag - perfect for little girls to gather up their easter eggs!
To complement these we also have the ever popular Pan di Vino, a classic panettone filled with fruit that has been soaked in a rich dessert wine - it makes the most sublime bread and butter pudding served along side a glass of Moscato d'Asti.
