A Seasonal Cheese & Wine Tasting

We are delighted to invite you to a very special one off cheese & wine tasting co hosted with culture magazine.Culture magazine features the most stunning photography and profiles cheese makers from all over the world.

This is a relaxed & convivial event, perfect for friends to enjoy an evening of delicious food & wine. Please note that this is a standing event, however benches will be placed around the shop.

For this event we will be joined by Kate Arding one of the founders of the magazine, Kate, also a cheese monger, will be talking about some of the remarkable people they have worked with along with stories of the regions, cheese makers and their farms as she takes us on a tasting journey through the past issues of culture magazine.
For this evening LA FROMAGERIE will be set up into four tasting sections each one celebrating an issue of culture magazine.
From Issue 1: Blues take note of the best with a tasting of blue cheeses from Spain, France, Italy & the British Isles, then onto the green pastures Ireland visiting the indomitable cheese makers of West Cork

From Issue 2: We celebrate the Coming of Age in Wales with Gorwydd Caerphilly; then over to Italy for a tasting of Pecorinos: with the Proud pecorino story

From Issue 3: Wrapping it up; looks at the many cheeses that are wrapped in leaves and herbs, this edition also features a photographic journey on the making of mozzarella di bufala which we will be of course tasting in various guises.

The soon to be released 4th edition of Culture will featuring a beautiful story on Goudas from Holland, we will be tasting an array of goudas made with nettles, mustard seeds, cumin along with 7 month, 2 year & 4 year matured versions paired with beers.

Our kitchen will also prepare some delicious canapés & dolce using recipes from the various issues of Culture magazine.

The Slow Food Cheese festival in Bra, Piedmont takes place the following weekend so we hope to have some of the cheese makers join us for this evening as they pass through London on their way to Italy
This promises to be a delicious evening, relaxed and convivial guests are invited to graze their way around the tasting regions paired with different wines & beers
Throughout the evening Kate and Patricia will be talking about the cheeses, along the way imparting many of their lovely stories of cheese makers & regional tasting journeys.
