We are delighted to invite you to celebrate the first day of Autumn as we continue on our tasting journey inspired by Patricia's book CHEESE published in April this year.
For this tasting we will be travelling along the Opal Coast from Basse Normandie, Haute Normandie, Nord pas-de-Calais, Picardie & Ile de France
On arrival guests will enjoy a glass of chilled Crémant 'Alsace with cheese sablés
Patricia will then conduct a tutored tasting of Normandy cheeses paired with a local Farmhouse cider
The next tasting plate will be one of the recipes from Patricia's book; a twice baked soufflé of Mimolette paired with a Chignin wine
We then venture to Nord pas-de-Calais for a tasting washed rind cheeses paired with a beer from Boulogne
Finally a comparative tasting of brie style cheeses and other bloomy rinds including our famously decadent Brie aux Truffe, paired with a Pinot Noir
The tasting will finish on a sweet note with another recipe from Patricia's book, a cheese cake made with Brillat Savarin served with autumn berries
This promises to be a both delicious and informative tasting as we discover more about the world's best artisan cheeses; a journey through taste tradition and terroir.
