Alice Hart's first book, New Voices in Food, aims to encourage us to cook the original, modern food we all enjoy to fit our busy lifestyles. With chapters based around occasions - breakfast & brunches, suppers & shared lunches, laid-back parties, camping and picnics. Simple seasonal cooking, dividing the recipes into Frost and Fireside or Sunshine and Strawberries.

Alice's practical hints on timing a meal and scaling quantities up or down will make life more delicious for people who love to cook and eat. As Alice says, it's not just about cooking, it's about enjoying life.

For brunch Alice will be talking about her beautiful new book and demonstrating some of the delicious recipes from blackberry & granola muffins served with coffee when you arrive, to a savoury version made with farmhouse cheddar & cornmeal. Alice will be using all the seasonal summer produce at

La Fromagerie with Courgette flowers stuffed with fresh goat cheese alongside a summer squash agrodolce, followed by a beetroot cured sea trout with a refreshing salad of shaved fennel & homemade aioli, enjoyed alongside a chilled glass of Prosecco.

We will hope for a lovely sunny day so we can finish on a chilled but indulgent Mocha Affogato; Le Piantagioni espresso over dark bitter chocolate ice cream.

About Alice: The youngest ever food editor at Waitrose Food Illustrated, a chef, and a food stylist. Her popup restaurant Shoreditch in February sold out in less than a day. Later this year she plans to launch a Vietnamese restaurant. And whenever she has the time, she is cooking and travelling in her pride and joy: Myrtle the Hurtle, a bay window, 1972 VW camper van, fully decked-out with kitchen.
